Children’s Hands On Museum of Northwest Illinois Offers Explore Science Program in May

Freeport, Illinois – April 30, 2019 – The Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois is hosting The Explore Science: Earth & Space hands-on learning programs on May 10-12. These programs include fun and exciting science projects for children. Participants will explore the concepts of temperature and light, earth, technology, the solar system and much more. Explore Science: Earth & Space is a program provided to the Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois by the National Informal STEM Education Network and NASA and encourages children to get hands-on experience with Earth and space science concepts.

“This is a great opportunity for visitors and field trip groups to learn about the universe through fun, educational programs focused on the earth, the moon and the solar system,” stated Jessi Larson, Children’s Hands-On Museum of NW IL Board President. “While at the museum for the Explore Science program, the Starlab planetarium will also be available as another fun and exciting way for kids to learn more about our universe.”

Visitors and members of the Children’s Hands-On Museum of Northwest Illinois can enjoy the Explore Science: Earth & Space hands-on learning and the Starlab Planetarium on May 10 (11 AM) May 11 (10:30 AM) and May 12 (1 PM). Daily admission is $6 per person. Family and Grandparent memberships are $80 per year.

Slots for field trips are filling up but more information can be obtained by contacting museum representatives at [email protected]. Field trip dates include May 7, 8, 14, 15, and 16.
